Privacy

Elizabeth Howe Spells is operated by Novo Industries Inc., an Alberta corporation. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This page explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, where it is stored, how long we keep it, and your choices.

Who is responsible

What we collect and why

• Your order: the ritual you chose, the first name it is for, and the words you wrote about your intention. Used only to write and perform your ritual and draw your sigil.
• Contact details: your name and email, used to deliver your ritual and answer you.
• Mailing address (keepsake boxes only), used to ship your box.
• Payment: handled directly by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• Moon calendar sign-ups: your email, the intention you selected, and a record of when and how you agreed to receive our emails.
• Technical data: our hosting provider keeps short-term security logs, such as IP addresses, to protect the site from abuse. We do not use advertising trackers or sell your information.

Please be thoughtful about what you share

Your intention is private, but you choose what to write. You do not need to include health, sexual, financial or other sensitive details for Elizabeth to prepare your ritual, and we ask that you leave them out.

Who we share it with

Only the services needed to run your order, each bound to protect your information and use it only for us:

• Stripe (payments), United States and Canada
• Anthropic (writes the words of your ritual from your intention), United States
• HeyGen (produces the ritual video from the ritual words; your email and address are not shared), United States
• Cloudflare (website, order records and video storage), United States and worldwide network
• Resend (sends our emails), United States
• Canada Post (ships keepsake boxes), Canada

Because most of these providers are in the United States, your information may be processed and stored outside Canada and may be subject to the laws of those countries. We never sell or rent your information.

How long we keep it

• Order and payment records: seven years, for tax purposes.
• Your ritual words, sigil and video: one year after your casting night, then deleted, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
• Moon calendar sign-ups: until you unsubscribe. We keep a record of the unsubscribe so we never email you again.

Emails

Order emails (confirmation, casting video, shipping) are sent because you placed an order. Moon calendars and offers are sent only if you ticked the box agreeing to them, and every one includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, by emailing hello@elizabethhowespells.com. We reply within 30 days. Some records must be kept for tax reasons. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Residents of some U.S. states have similar rights, and we honour the same requests from every customer.

Age

Our services are for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
